Nothing happens in the platform without a record.
Every content edit, governance decision, user action, and system event writes an immutable entry the moment it happens. No configuration required. No opt-in.

Not just what changed. Exactly what the old value was, and what replaced it.
Every audit entry captures field-level before and after values. When a franchisee updates their hours, the log records exactly what the old value was and what the new value is. No ambiguity. No summary-level abstractions.
- →Before and after values for every field edit
- →Initiator identity: named user or system process
- →Timestamp to the second for incident reconstruction
- →Entries are immutable: no user can edit or delete them
What the audit log records
Brand governance at scale requires accountability infrastructure, not just policy. The Audit Log is the authoritative record of what happened, who did it, and when.
Real-time event feed
Every content update, governance decision, schema modification, and system event appears in the log as it happens. No delay, no batching.
Five event types
System: automated platform actions. Content: page and field edits. Governance: approvals and rejections. User: human-initiated. Location: franchisee submissions.
Complete attribution
Every log entry shows who made the change, what changed with field-level before/after values, when it happened, and which location it affects.
Compliance-ready
The Audit Log cannot be edited or deleted by any user, including brand admins. It is the authoritative record for brand governance reviews, franchise compliance audits, and legal inquiries.
Automatic, immutable, always current
Every action writes a log entry
Every platform action writes an immutable log entry automatically. No configuration required. No opt-in. Content changes, governance approvals, user invitations, schema runs: all captured.
Filter to find what you need
Filter by event type, user, location, or date range. Isolate a specific franchisee's activity, review all governance decisions from last month, or find when a schema field was last modified.
Export for compliance or review
Export filtered log entries as CSV or JSON for compliance reviews, franchise audits, or internal governance reporting. Full attribution data is preserved in every export.
Frequently asked questions
Can I tell which user was responsible for a governance decision?
Yes. Every governance event records the identity of the user who took the action, whether an approval, rejection, or policy update. The entry includes the user's name, their role at the time, a timestamp to the second, and the location affected. This makes it straightforward to reconstruct what happened during any governance incident.
How long does the audit log retain event history?
The audit log retains all event history for the full duration of your account. Events are never automatically purged or archived. For very large networks generating high event volumes, the export and filter tools make it practical to work with any date range without loading the entire history at once.
Can franchisees see their own activity in the audit log?
Franchisees have access to their own location-scoped activity history: what changes they submitted, when those changes were reviewed, and whether they were approved or rejected. They cannot see activity from other locations or network-wide system events. Brand admins have access to the full log across all locations.
